Description

A classic deviled eggs recipe with a creamy filling and a dash of paprika for flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs (hard-boiled)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon green food coloring (optional for color)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika (for sprinkling)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool for 5 minutes, then peel and slice in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove yolks from the egg halves and place in a mixing bowl. Mash with a fork.
  4. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, black pepper, chives, and food coloring. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with additional chives.

Notes

  • For a more vibrant color, add a few drops of food coloring to the yolk mixture.
  • These deviled eggs can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
