A classic Sloppy Joes recipe made with ground beef and savory sauce, perfect for a quick dinner.

- 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
- 1/2 Onion (diced)
- 1 Green Bell Pepper (diced into small pieces)
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
- 2 cups Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 cup Water
- 8 Hamburger Buns
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add in the ground beef, onions and bell peppers.
- Sauté for 5-7 minutes, breaking up the beef as it browns, until the ground beef is no longer pink and the veggies are soft.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about a minute until you can start to smell the garlic.
- Stir in the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, dijon mustard, chili powder, salt, pepper and water.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve warm over the buns and enjoy!
Notes
- This dish is best served immediately after cooking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
