Description
Delicious cherry almond cookies that are soft and chewy with a hint of cream cheese.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup cherry preserves
- ½ cup sliced almonds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Gently fold in cherry preserves and sliced almonds.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden around the edges but soft in the center. Cool on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
- For added flavor, consider using almond extract in addition to vanilla.
