Description

A delicious and easy ground beef casserole topped with cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce; stir to combine.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish and spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour until smooth.
  7. Pour the whisked mixture evenly over the beef and cheese layers.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden and set.
  9. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
