Delicious and easy mug cake that you can make in minutes!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 cup marshmallows (mini or regular)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease four microwave-safe mugs.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla. Gradually mix into dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Stir in hot water until the batter is smooth; this will be thin.
  5. Fill each mug halfway with batter and bake for 15-18 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Top with marshmallows while warm and return to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until soft.
  7. Optionally sprinkle with chocolate chips before serving.
