Description

Delicious and flavorful honey-glazed barbecue ribs that are perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks pork ribs (baby back or St. Louis style)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. This can be done by loosening it with a knife and then pulling it off with your fingers or a paper towel for better grip.
  2. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Marinate the Ribs: Place the ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a deep dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to penetrate the meat.
  4. Cook the Ribs: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a roasting rack on top. Place the ribs on the rack, meat side up. Reserve the marinade for later use. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  5. Glaze and Finish: Remove ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C). Brush the ribs with the reserved marinade. Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, prepare the marinade a day ahead to give it more time to blend.
  • Consider finishing the ribs on a grill instead of the oven for a smoky flavor.
  • Let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
  • Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side for dipping.
