Description
This creamy caramel ice cream is made with cottage cheese and a hint of salted caramel, perfect for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cottage cheese (Use full-fat for creamier texture.)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (You can substitute with milk of choice.)
- 1/4 cup natural sweetener (Honey or maple syrup works well.)
- 1/3 cup salted caramel sauce (Store-bought or homemade.)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (For added flavor.)
- a pinch sea salt (Enhances flavor.)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, almond milk, natural sweetener, salted caramel sauce, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no lumps.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or salt to your preference. If you want more saltiness, feel free to add a bit more of the salted caramel sauce or a sprinkle of sea salt.
- Pour the blended mixture into a freezer-safe container. Spread it evenly and secure the lid or cover it with plastic wrap.
- Place the container in the freezer for about 2-3 hours, or until the ice cream reaches a firm but scoopable consistency.
- Once the ice cream is ready, scoop it into bowls and serve with optional toppings such as fresh fruit, nuts, or extra caramel sauce.
Notes
- This ice cream is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the freezer for up to a week.
- If the ice cream becomes too hard, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
