Description

A delicious homemade kiwi sauce for desserts or toppings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 kiwis
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel the kiwis and chop them roughly, then add the rest to a pot with the sugar and lemon juice. Add any kiwi juice from the cutting board into the pan.
  2. Turn the heat to medium, stir the pot well and bring it to the boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mash slightly with a fork to break up some of the kiwi pieces.
  5. It’s ready to use immediately, or store in the fridge in a lidded container for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste by varying the amount of sugar.
