Honey Soy Chicken

Description

This delicious Honey Soy Chicken is a quick and easy dish that’s full of flavor!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (diced into 1 inch pieces)
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 2 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced or 2 teaspoons minced garlic)
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • to taste Sesame Seeds (optional for serving)
  • to taste Chopped Green Onions (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Add in the diced chicken and let it cook to brown for about 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook the other side of the chicken for 3-4 more minutes until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees F).
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and cornstarch until combined.
  4. Stir the sauce into the skillet with the chicken and cook for approximately 60-90 seconds until the sauce has thickened and coats the chicken.
  5. Serve warm topped with the green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, increase the cornstarch.
