Description

Delicious cheesy sausage stuffing balls perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 2 cups stuffing mix (preferably herb-flavored)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  2. Cook Sausage:
    • In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. Mix Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, stuffing mix, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and chicken broth.
    • Add in the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and chopped parsley.
  4. Form Balls:
    • Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
    • Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch balls, pressing firmly to compact.
  5. Bake:
    • Place the sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet about an inch apart.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
  • Ensure the balls are compact to prevent them from falling apart during baking.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce like ranch or marinara for added taste.
  • These can be made ahead of time and refrigerated, then baked just before serving.
