  • for garnish parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Bacon:
    • In a skillet, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Make the Meat Sauce:
    • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

    • Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the Lasagna:
    • In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top.
    • Add a layer of meat sauce, followed by shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
    • Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of cheese and bacon on top.
  5. Bake the Lasagna:
    • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a layer of ricotta cheese mixed with an egg between the meat layers.
  • You can add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for added flavor and nutrition.
  • If you want a smokier flavor in your meat sauce, consider adding a splash of smoked paprika.
