A delicious layered lasagna with bacon, ground beef, and plenty of cheese.

- 12 sheets lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Bacon:
- In a skillet, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Make the Meat Sauce:
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the Lasagna:
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top.
- Add a layer of meat sauce, followed by shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of cheese and bacon on top.
- Bake the Lasagna:
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
- Serve:
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, add a layer of ricotta cheese mixed with an egg between the meat layers.
- You can add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for added flavor and nutrition.
- If you want a smokier flavor in your meat sauce, consider adding a splash of smoked paprika.
