Description
Delicious blueberry biscuits that are perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients

- 1 stick unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries (could use frozen)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk (more or less)
Instructions
- Melt butter in 9 x 9 or 8 x 8 baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and blueberries.
- Add buttermilk and stir with a spoon until dough comes together and makes a ball.
- Press biscuit dough into pan with melted butter.
- Cut into 9 squares with a knife.
- Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes until brown on top.
- Makes 9 biscuits.
- Can add glaze below or leave it off if you want.
- Combine and mix with a spoon until consistency you can drizzle over cooked and cooled biscuits.
Notes
- These biscuits are delicious warm and can be served with butter or glaze.
- Adjust the milk in the glaze to achieve your desired consistency.
